Elastomeric
The ultimate weather barrier, flexible, waterproof, fills hairline cracks, lasts 15–20 years with manufacturer warranty against peeling and blistering. Brands we run: Towerthon (Cloverdale) and Ultra Spec Masonry (Benjamin Moore).
Acrylic
100% acrylic latex. Breathable, durable, flexible, affordable, and available in nearly every colour. The best balance for most Calgary homes.
Oil-based
Strong protective barrier with a glossy finish and fade resistance. Used selectively where long-term durability outweighs the trickier cleanup.
Application
Spray vs. roller, both have their place.
Rollers deliver superior adhesion, especially with elastomeric coatings, the paint is physically worked into the texture of the stucco. Spraying is faster and better suited for large commercial elevations. For most residential repaints we use elastomeric applied with a roller for the most durable, longest-lasting result.
Preparing for the project
To keep your timeline on track, we ask homeowners to clear driveway access, agree a communication schedule with us, move planters/furniture from work areas, and keep children and pets clear during active painting. We handle all surface prep, masking, and cleanup.
Commercial
Commercial stucco painting is a different animal.
Commercial elevations require scaffolding or Zoom Boom equipment, written safety plans, OSHA-aligned compliance procedures, and specialized insurance protocols. Our $5,000,000 commercial general liability policy and WCB coverage are in place before we mobilize on every commercial job.
